Last Recommended Posting Dates

The "last recommended posting dates" are the latest days Royal Mail advises you post so your cards and parcels have the best chance of arriving in time for Christmas. They are recommendations to help you plan - not guarantees of delivery.

Royal Mail's 2026 Christmas posting dates have not yet been published. Royal Mail usually confirms them in the autumn. Check back soon - we will update this page as soon as the official dates are announced.

Planning ahead while we wait

  • Post as early as you can. The last few days before Christmas are the busiest of the year.
  • For the firmest delivery commitment, ask us about Special Delivery Guaranteed.
  • Sending overseas? Allow extra time and complete a customs form (CN23) for items going outside the UK.
  • Keep your proof of postage or tracking receipt until your item has arrived.

Not sure which service to choose? Pop into the branch or call 01706 725399. We are open 7 days a week and happy to help.
